The project Mica: promoting the role of women in the Circular Economy (CE) to build a world without waste!» »This project is based on the observation that many women in Guadeloupe (an outermost region) and Portugal (Lisbon) who work formally and informally in the CE sector are struggling to achieve economic autonomy and leadership, even though they make a major contribution to the CE sector, often bringing innovative initiatives for the benefit of their communities.

The Mica project will create a space for meetings and exchanges of best practices between women involved in EC in the island regions of RUP Guadeloupe and those of mainland Portugal, to establish partnerships, build bridges in the transition to the circular economy and accelerate the process of changing production, consumption and waste management practices to be more respectful of the environment.

MIca is co-financed by the Erasmus + Education & Training program.

1- Strengthening the leadership of women involved in the circular economy

2- Give visibility at local and European level to initiatives in the circular economy sector led by women (companies, actions, etc.), ,

3- Set up and run a dynamic transnational network of women involved in the circular economy sectors in the two partner regions (Guadeloupe/Portugal), with a view to creating bridges and synergies on a European scale.
